Today, the House of Representatives, passed The American Horse Slaughter Prevention Act (H.R. 503), a bill to end the slaughter of horses for human consumption, has just passed the U.S. House of Representatives with a final vote of 263 to 146.
They support a filthy and absurd business which has brought nuisances and health problems to the residents of several cities, including Kaufman, Texas. Kaufman's plight has been aptly covered by Matt Pulle at the Dallas Observer (here, here, and here).
How much did Bush support the bill? Well, not so much (link).
