AMAZING!

I went to my precinct tonight along with my wife to caucus. I kid you not, there had to be close to 1,000 people there. It was about 95-5% for Obama.

I ended up helping out in running the caucus. It was truly a labor of love.

Many people asked me questions and I tried to keep them cool since we were running behind due to the lack of voting machines. People were still voting at 7:45 PM. One day, the county will give us more than 6 machines to handle hundreds of people on election day.

I go to bed proud tonight...proud of my neighborhood. I go to bed hopeful...hopeful that this is the beginning of a new day. A lot of new voters have entered the voting realm.

DON'T STOP NOW! It is now time for us to step up and take our rightful place in various elected offices.

I also felt good. I did not get home until 11:00PM our precent convention was a bit unorganized but was well attended appox.579
people. 547 for Obama 32 Hillery .
My first one since 1988 when I was a Jackson delegate. I felt so good back in the real grass roots part of the process.

nice to see you and Ms. Culbreath embrace the process.
I filed a story tonight about the consternation of so many people with last night's precinct conventions.
But one woman I met today put it in perspective. Last night 700 people attended her Cedar Hill caucus. Four years ago, 3 people attended.
