Farewell to a Legend

Over the weekend, Rev. Dr. C.A.W. Clark passed away at his home in the Glen Oaks neighborhood in Oak Cliff.

As everyone knows, Dr. Clark was the pastor at Good Street Baptist Church on Bonnie View near Kiest. He was nationally recognized figure, and a pillar of this community. Dr. Clark did too much great work to mention, and he's one of those people whose shoes cannot be filled.

Our hearts and prayers go out to his personal family and his church family at Good Street Baptist Church.

I had the opportunity to meet him about four years ago at his Church and I had the great opportunity to sit by him during a Church Anniversary service. I was very much impressed with him. Although I realize that he was in his twilight years he was talkative, very intelligent and exceptionally witty. I had chance to listen to some of his sermons of the past and I know that he is at peace now. I wish his family and his Church the best that God can offer; which is a lot! As a minister, in my very short time of knowing him; he has touch my life.
